about

It speaks of a girl, originally inspired by the ancient tale of Blodeuwedd (from Maginogion an ancient traditional Celtic folk story). It’s the story of a flower bride in her prime of life, who everywhere she lay her feet flowers would grow. This represents us, for as we walk through life, we can plant seeds of greed, envy, hatred, lust and such, or we can leave behind us a beautiful trail of flowers. We are like sunflowers growing into lotuses. The lotus represents an enlightened state of consciousness. We are each of us created beautiful, regardless of color, race and religion, and each of us has the capacity to rise above our ‘lower’ more carnal instincts to realize our true enlightened, and natural soul state. This song is about meeting our Creator face to face in a meadow of stars, where He holds the flower-brides’ hand and gazes in her eyes and offers her eternity. “Oh Gaura Nitai” is like a great cry, a prayer of great yearning for entrance into the Kingdom of God (and Goddess!). “Gaura Nitai” are considered the Guardians of Bhakti (devotion). It’s a love song, which can be related to a romanticized version of young love here in this world, yet it calls to ancient lands of old tales of beautiful love stories. It’s about the path of devotion. This is what Jesus spoke of: “to love God with all your heart and all your soul”. It’s as simple as that.

Krishna Rose High Springs, Florida

A trip to North India in 1995 changed my life forever, for it was there that I met Srila-Bhaktivedanta-Narayana-Goswami Maharaja, the famed Yuga-Acharya of India. At the direction of this Saint, I began to write and perform English songs in the poetic lyrical style of famed poets like Wordsworth and Yeats. I set about developing my own unique music style, and began producing and recording music. ... more
